Service Providers
With Peppol, growing your client base is fast and efficient.
Our four-corner model eliminates the need for end-to-end testing, making it quick to onboard large numbers of new clients. Our well-defined governance and standards ensure that Peppol implementation is straightforward. And our secure network provides stability, while keeping things simple with a standard format.
These efficiencies combine to substantially lower your operating costs. This translates to huge savings for major players and more affordable operations for start-ups entering the market.
Peppol is not a portal or provider of exchange services.
Peppol is an enabler.
Any organisation with a Peppol-certified service provider can trade on the Peppol network.
Value add services
Standardising the way information is structured and exchanged creates opportunities for new value-added services.
Peppol-certified service providers could, in the future, offer analytics on the data that clients generate. And there is also scope for the development of supply chain financing. These are just two examples of potential value-added service opportunities for fast-moving technology providers.
Plus, by joining OpenPeppol (the member-led organisation that owns Peppol) and signing up with a Peppol Authority you become part of a supportive, global community.
In short, we provide a set of document specifications that integrate global business processes. And we deliver the governance to make it work, via a binding agreement structure that ensures compliance among key parties.
Peppol invites you to be at the forefront of innovation.
Opening a bigger global market, for everyone
Peppol is expanding rapidly because government organisations and private businesses want an open and standardised way to do business. This demand, in turn, creates opportunity for our Peppol-certified service providers.
Closed (or ‘three-corner’) networks require buyers and suppliers to connect via the same service provider. The response from many (particularly smaller) organisations has been to simply avoid electronic trading altogether. Instead, they prefer to continue exchanging documents manually, for example as PDF attachments. This is inefficient. but it is often easier than connecting to multiple networks.
To date, this widespread preference for manual document exchange has rendered much of the market inaccessible to digital procurement services, such as eInvoicing.
Peppol is changing that.
Our interoperable (‘four-corner’) network allows buyers and suppliers to connect once, to any Peppol-certified service provider, then exchange standardised business documents with anyone else on the Peppol network.
More and more organisations are adopting Peppol and abandoning the manual exchange of documents
This creates a much bigger market for everyone.
And, when you become part of the Peppol eDelivery network, you can be sure that you are providing your clients with the best available solution.
